It’s time for our last Bird of the month in celebration of Birdfair! Chilean Flamingos live in warm and tropical environments where they inhabit muddy, shallow lakes. They are pink in colour but grey before they get their full plumage. The Chilean flamingo feeds on aquatic plants and small organisms. They breed in colonies that can contain thousands of individuals and have courtship rituals of synchronized dancing, preening, neck stretching and honking! 📸Trisha Shears
