ZEISS and JoVE present open access video publications with stereo, zoom, and light sheet fluorescence microscopy
The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) is a PubMed-indexed video journal with the mission to increase the productivity of scientific research. Our article features two most recent video protocols for Zebrafish imaging with ZEISS with stereo, zoom, and light sheet fluorescence microscopy systems. Enjoy the video protocols by our partners, and let yourself be inspired!

Light sheet fluorescence microscopy is an excellent tool for imaging embryonic development. It allows recording of long time-lapse movies of live embryos in near physiological conditions. We demonstrate its application for imaging zebrafish eye development across wide spatio-temporal scales and present a pipeline for fusion and deconvolution of multiview datasets. Light sheet fluorescence microscopy was performed with ZEISS Lightsheet Z.1.

The method described here allows time-lapse analysis of organ development in zebrafish embryos by using a fluorescence dissecting microscope capable of performing optical sectioning and simple strategies of readjustment to correct focal and planar drift. ZEISS instruments used include stereo & zoom microscopes, Axiocam, and ApoTome.

About JoVE
JoVE, the Journal of Visualized Experiments, is the world’s first peer reviewed scientific video journal. Established in 2006, JoVE is devoted to publishing scientific research in a visual format to help researchers overcome two of the biggest challenges facing the scientific research community today; poor reproducibility and the time and labor intensive nature of learning new experimental techniques.
All JoVE articles are indexed in subject-relevant indexing sites, including PubMed/MEDLINE, SciFinder and Scopus. Publishing in JoVE allows authors to dynamically present their methods, data analyses and results clearly, accurately, and professionally with the guidance of JoVE’s professional videographers and editors. JoVE has published thousands of video articles from top research institutions around the world.
