Windows 10 compatibility for ZEN lite and GPU-assisted deconvolution among major features
Today, ZEISS Microscopy announces the release of ZEN 2.3 imaging software for microscopy imaging systems. The newest version of our popular and easy-to-use imaging software features significant upgrades for imaging with ZEISS research instruments. ZEN 2.3 includes new features and improvements for our next-generation ZEISS Axiocam microscope cameras, ZEISS LSM 8 confocal microscopes, and the ZEISS Axio Scan.Z1 virtual slide scanner, among others.
ZEN Correlative Array Tomography is now available as an integrated module for automated image acquisition of ultrathin sections between widefield and scanning electron microscopes. The new module ZEN Confocal Topography offers wizards for topography acquisition and layer thickness measurements, ideally supporting workflows for the recently released ZEISS LSM 800 for Materials.
The new 3D rendering module ZEN 3Dxl that is being developed jointly with our partners from arivis is now fully integrated in ZEN 2.3 and offers dramatically improved performance without rendering artifacts, even when dealing with very large 3D and 4D image datasets. Basic 3D deconvolution capability for CPU-based processing is now included at no additional charge for all licensed versions of ZEN, while the optional availability of GPU-based deconvolution (GPU DCV) for selected workstations and graphics cards vastly improves the performance and efficiency of your imaging experiments.
The free ZEN lite image viewer now enables users to easily open and analyze CZI imaging data on 64bit Windows 10 PC systems. The popular modules ZEN Panorama and ZEN Manual Extended Focus are now available for free with ZEN lite, enabling more efficient imaging experiments even with manual ZEISS microscope stands at no additional charge.
